Western Fence Lizard:
Locations: They can be found in almost every type of park.
Habitat: Dry areas and places both in the wild and near civilization.
Seasons: Summer, spring, and early fall
Behavior: They do bite but very rarely and the bite does not hurt that much, they are also fast and skittish.
American Bullfrog
Locations: Foothills Nature preserve is the best place to find them but they can be found in other parks.
Habitat: Ponds, lakes, and rivers.
Seasons: Summer, spring.
Behavior: They are easily scared.
Alligator Lizard
Locations: Sharon park, foothills, Edgewood park, and other places with nature although they are hard to find.
Habitat: Forest areas, mostly under rocks and logs, they like to hide.
Seasons: Summer, spring, fall.
Behavior: They are extremely aggressive and have a painful bite.
Newt
Locations: Hidden Villa and Foothills Nature preserve.
Habitat: Small bodies of water like rivers, creeks, and large puddles.
Seasons: Winter, spring, late fall.
Behavior: They are not aggressive but are toxic if you see one avoid touching it especially if you have a cut on your hand.
Arboreal Salamander
Locations: Hidden Villa, Foothills Nature preserve, and Sharon Park.
Habitat: Under logs and pieces of debris.
Seasons: Winter, spring.
Behavior: They have a painful bite but only bite rarely.
Slender Salamander
Locations: Pretty much any park that has logs, or rocks which you can flip over.
Habitat: Under moist logs and pieces of debris.
Seasons: Winter, spring, late fall.
Behavior: They are friendly and don’t bite.
